Dank dieser Konstruktion, bei der der Getriebemotor in die Trommel integriert ist, hat ein Trommelmotor eine sehr kompakte Bauweise, und alle internen Komponenten sind gegen \u00e4u\u00dfere Einfl\u00fcsse gesch\u00fctzt. Der Trommelmotor \u00fcbertr\u00e4gt die erforderliche Leistung auf ein F\u00f6rderband, wo das Drehmoment der Trommel in Zugkraft umgewandelt wird. Eine Umlenktrommel ist eine Trommel ohne Elektromotor, die den Gurt so spannt, dass auf der Antriebstrommel eine Zugkraft erzeugt wird. B. an einem F\u00f6rderband. Diese Anordnung f\u00fchrt regelm\u00e4\u00dfig zu Sch\u00e4den am Getriebemotor, wenn schwere Produkte wie z. B. Steine in einem Zementwerk vom F\u00f6rderband fallen. Weiterhin besteht die Gefahr, dass ein Gabelstapler versehentlich mit der Anlage kollidiert und den Getriebemotor besch\u00e4digt.<\/p>\n<p>Im Gegensatz zu einem herk\u00f6mmlichen Antrieb hat ein Trommelmotor keine externen Komponenten; dadurch kann der Trommelmotor in das F\u00f6rderband integriert werden, wodurch er weniger Platz beansprucht.
