Leadership transition at BEGE marks next growth phase

After nine years of intensive dedication to BEGE, Coen Paulides is stepping down as CEO. Marcel Biesma, who has served as COO since 2023, assumes the role effective January 2026. Alex van den Berg continues as Commercial Director, ensuring continuity in BEGE’s strategic direction and market focus.

Nine years of transformation

Coen’s tenure has reshaped BEGE to a professionally-run, scalable organization. Process automation has eliminated bottlenecks, the engineering team has become a genuine competitive advantage, and two strategic acquisitions of Ströter Antriebstechnik GmbH and Komak Fluid Technology have expanded both portfolio and reach.

But numbers alone don’t tell the story. Coen has built an organization where talented people want to work, one that encourages entrepreneurship, demands quality, and operates with clear purpose. For that vision, commitment and leadership, we’re genuinely grateful.

Marcel Biesma: From COO to CEO

Marcel Biesma knows BEGE inside and out. As COO, he’s been instrumental in shaping BEGE’s operational backbone: the systems, scalability, and structure that allow the company to grow without losing its edge. He knows every part of the business and has earned the trust of the team, customers, and leadership.
