Eric Beekveldt (60+) describes BEGE as a warm welcome ever since he joined the company a few years ago.
At BEGE, Eric immediately felt at home, a feeling he missed in his previous job. “Is there really no one you ever have any trouble with?” we ask him. “No, absolutely no one. They’re all great colleagues. There’s a warm atmosphere where fun and professionalism go hand in hand.”
Working foreman for precision
Although Eric had no technical background, BEGE saw potential in him because of his managerial experience at a large printing company. Now he works as a working foreman in logistics.
Together with his six colleagues, he ensures the precise inspection of incoming goods, such as gears, castings, and gearboxes. “Everything has to be perfect, accurate to the thousandth of a millimeter. We use advanced measuring equipment to ensure that everything meets our strict quality standards.”
A culture of training and collaboration
At BEGE, education and training are top priorities. “Everyone shares their knowledge and skills, which allows us to constantly grow and learn,” Eric explains.
“Our managers are also always ready to help. Director Marcel Biersma personally trained me and still does so from time to time.”
A true family business
The family atmosphere at BEGE is palpable everywhere. “Everyone is treated equally here, from young to old. At BEGE, you’re given the space to develop yourself, regardless of your position.”
Eric about working at his age: “As long as it stays this enjoyable, I’ll keep going until I reach retirement age, and who knows, maybe I’ll be able to stay a little longer.”
“When you enjoy going to work every day, you don’t think about quitting.”
