Acquisition of Ströter Antriebstechnik by BEGE

In 2015, BEGE took over the sales and production operations of Ströter Antriebstechnik. Since then, BEGE has been the manufacturer of Ströter drive components and builds the complete range under the Ströter name.

Ströter’s history

Ströter started in the mid-1940s in Düsseldorf as a manufacturer of variable speed drives. The range later expanded to helical bevel gear motors and flange encoders, including the patented MIG encoder. With food-safe drive components, Ströter built a strong reputation among machine builders, particularly in the food industry. BEGE has worked with Ströter since the 1960s: Ströter focused on helical bevel gear units, BEGE on helical gear units, and both companies sold each other’s products.
