Workshop Manager Kevin Hoogervorst is known for his dedication to hands-on work and his passion for technology.
As the manager of three departments within BEGE—the workshop, the MIG encoder department, and the paint shop—Kevin feels most at home when he is directly involved in the day-to-day operations on the shop floor.
His affinity for technology runs deep, and his training and natural aptitude align seamlessly with the dynamic environment at BEGE.
Engaged in technical challenges
Kevin handles work preparation, planning, and quality control, keeping him constantly connected to the production process.
Although his role as a manager is a challenge in itself, Kevin is most in his element when tackling technical challenges. Whether it’s fine-tuning the fit of a shaft or precision-grinding gears, Kevin handles it with ease.
Collaborating on innovations
In addition to his daily duties as workshop manager, Kevin eagerly looks forward to the upcoming product developments and modifications BEGE is working on.
He views collaborating with engineers on innovations as a valuable challenge that contributes to the company’s stability and growth.
Appreciation for the company culture
In addition to his passion for technology, Kevin also appreciates the human side of BEGE. He praises the collegial atmosphere and the informal interactions among colleagues. The annual end-of-year parties, barbecues, and department gatherings strengthen the bond and personal connection among colleagues.
Kevin recalls how Gerard Paulides (then director) hung a large BEGE logo in the cafeteria, surrounded by core values such as “trust,” “respect,” and “communication.” These gestures contribute to a positive work environment where everyone feels valued and is happy to do their part.
Kevin is also pleased with the improvements in employee benefits, such as the enhanced pension plan. This investment in staff well-being is greatly appreciated by the entire team.
